Tournament Screenshots

As you might have noticed, CDO's official screenshots page is woefully out of date; the last set of pictures we've got is from December of 2010. A lot has changed since then, both in tiles and in the game at large, so what with the tournament and 0.14 I think it's high time we updated it.

So this is a call for screenshots: as you wander the dungeon this tournament, bring your camera along and take us some pictures of cool stuff you see or experience. We need both console and tiles, and I'd like to show off all parts of the game, so don't limit yourself to branch ends and Cerebov. A couple of uniques ambushing you on D:6 is great. Found the Depths entrance? Casting Glaciate for the first time? Got yourself murdered by your own illusion? Whatever you think would make a good screenshot, I want to see it.

The only rules are:

• 0.14 and trunk only; no experimental branches.
• Please crop off your desktop background; we just want pictures of the game, not your bank account details or whatever.
• Nothing that would make Grandma unhappy. Little kids might see these.

I tried to make sure every photo showed off both a new feature and a portion of the game a new player would probably not see for a while. I don't actually know a lot (anything) about composition so I have absolutely no clue how good or bad these look. In particular I'm not happy with all the overlays blocking the draconian's faces in no.3 (the one with the shadow-former) and I want to re-do it. All of these were made in wizmode too, so I'm sorry if they're lacking any impromptu feeling you were hoping for. Furthermore, all the characters are still sitting around on the turn the picture was taken, so if you want me to give you the entire screen so you can edit them, that's fine too. I've still got a couple ideas, if you want more.

The first thing I thought when I saw all of those was "damn, that guy needs to take on smaller engagements"! Then I saw you mentioned it was wizmode, which makes sense. You might to take some smaller scale fight pictures, so people don't think huge battles are encouraged. I need to try to remember to take some screenshots of my next game.

An additional benefit would be that a picture with fewer creatures is easier to understand

I think that the Hell one is really nice, as the creatures are easily uderstandable, we can see an effect on the player's weapon, as well as a special dungeon layout. It would be good to have in a gallery, showing there are multiple parts in the dungeon

Yes. If you have a hard time figuring out where the player is, then the picture is probably too crowded.

I think I found a nice use for potion of lignification. It looks like you can't be trampled when you're in tree form, but I may be wrong.
