(I'm definitely going to ban other clans advertising in the 0.15 thread, since it's caused some confusion here. I'm not going to ask anybody to not do that here though, since several teams have already come by.)

christhawk is in HenryFlower's team, because he specifically asked for this.

Each clan had exactly one possible clan member left - which means Patashu, khail, and Zooty each got in a different clan, but fearitself has be put into a new clan.

All new members will be going into fearitself's clan. In addition if there is anybody who wants to:

A) Be a Team Captain

B) Is in DracheReborn's clan or possibly "Pikel's Freed Slaves" and is willing to swap with fearitself.

Please say so and you'll be moved to the new clan.

I've added some placeholder names to the clans, since I just realized how much nicer it is being able to use a team name. If anybody on a team objects to their team's name, say so and I'll change it unless somebody counterobjects.

Also, in case we end up in an awkward position of having a "half clan" left over, informal poll: Would you rather have several 5 player clans, or one stumpy 2-4 player clan?

The tournament will be from 20:00 UTC Apr 11 to 20:00 UTC Apr 27. The preliminary rules.

As with last year, don't expect your teammates to win. As a flip side to that, there are no obligations to enter! Feel free to join even if you haven't seen the Temple next.

If your online server name is different from your Tavern account name, please note that in your post. Server names are case sensitive.

Feel free to suggest names for the teams - if nothing is popular, we can use last's tournament's names of "Young Incredibly Underestimated Fellows" and "biCYCle". You may also choose your team captain.

We can always make new clans, so keep posting even if we look full.

If you're posting in this thread but don't want to join, please specifically state something along the lines of "I don't want to join" in your post.

I think balanced clans would be better. Though logistically, it would be nice of course to know final clan rosters earlier. Probably still a bit early right now, as I recall from last year there were still people wanting to sign up after the tourney started. If you plan to set a limit (either a deadline or x amount of roster spots), it would probably be good to update the first post.

Btw, I think we're going with "Xom's (adjective*) Gifts" (Thanks Hirsch) for clan name, unless some other clan member objects

Yes, in retrospect, I should have done this in the first place. I don't want to toggle them around because I think we'll reach at least two more players before the tourney, but I will make sure this happens next time.

I don't really care which clan I'm in, but I may be a bad choice for captain since I have no experience with how clans actually operate during the tournament (other than rcfile declarations; I am sure rcfiles are important). If a qualified captain for the new clan comes along, feel free to swap me to it.

On the lobby page of whatever web tiles server you are using, just to the right of the DCSS 0.14 link, there's an (edit rc) link. Click that link -- that will give you an editor.

Make sure that the first line of that file reads:

Don't worry about it. With 2 new players and XuaXua and tedric willing to move, your clan now has 5 players.

Check the first post for who your captain is supposed to be. Edit your rcfile to put in the TEAMCAPTAIN line (NOTE! must be first line. First line can't be blank)

So far 3 of our clans are up (AXE MANIACS, Pikels Freed Slaves, and Xomthing Xpecial). Once clan members update their rcfiles, they'll get added automatically. Not immediately though, there's usually some delay before the server updates.

Easy. After connecting to your server and logging in with your username/password you select your version (0.14 for this tourney) and then there you can select "o) Edit options" with the "o" key. This opens the rc editor.

I've decided to close new clan creation, unless we get another sudden spike in players. However, we still could use a couple sixth players. Note that we can manipulate clans for up to a week after the tourney starts.

Patashu (GrBe), fearitself (GrBe), and tedric (MfIE) with 1 win apiece. Also picking up runes: Xuaxua (MfBe), reaver (GrBe), and Midpoint (TeVM) - doesn't include ongoing games.

I noticed that I managed to land myself on a team with some real players (as opposed to me ...). Thanks to everyone else on the team! I'll try to pick up at least one win (got a pretty good TeCj going right now, but I'm bad enough to mess that up in a flash). Having a good time, and thanks for including me in Pikel's Freed Slaves.
