The title says it all really. I brought it up in GDD, and one of the devs said go ahead, so here it is.

Now if only the portals pause if you get unintentionally shafted, or if you enter a different portal on the same floor.

No reasons for the timers to wait. Both events Xuaxua describes (shaft, and two portals on one level) make for interesting decisions.
