New wizlab

I've created a new wizard lab, "Cekugob's Oubliette", which is intended to be an abandoned prison where the guards and prisoners are long undead. It contains a slightly randomized maze. You can add it by pasting the file I attached into the end of source/dat/des/portals/wizlab.des.

I could use some advice to finish it:

Any suggestions for the color scheme?
Is it too hard? Too easy?
Too much/not enough loot?
Too much XP?
Does the maze become monotonous by the end? Should it be smaller?
Most wizlabs have some kind of Lua-based gimmick: monster generators, special clouds, custom monsters... Any ideas that would fit with the theme?

It feels fairly monotonous. I'd suggest some kind of gimmick, as this gives me flashbacks to old crypt.
Furthermore, mazes in general are bad design, as evidenced by the fact crawl has a "automatically solve maze" button. We already have Lab(sadly), we don't need any more stuff like that.
