It's a boy!

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

It's a boy!

Monday morning 5:00 a.m. my wife delivered a healthy baby boy, Felix Jacob. Everyone is doing well, everything's going great.

So my priorities will be shifted somewhat now, just in case anyone is hoping to catch up on my post count, here's your chance!

Congrats!
The best strategy most frequently overlooked by new players for surviving: not starting a fight to begin with.

Nice to hear this, danr! Congatulations, and best of luck to the whole family! :)

Congratulation!
Visit us from time to time, though. We need a crusader to promote crazy yet viable ideas into Crawl :D

I think we need a unique ogre inserted into this game named after Danr's baby.

It would be the best birthday present.

So what will come first for your son, crawling or Crawling?
You fall off the wall. You have a feeling of ineptitude.

Thanks all!

Don't worry, I'll still be around, just probably in a more reasonable volume.

If you want to give a gift, code me a patch where every Halfling Hunter starts with the Captain's Cutlass, the sling "Punk", the AE book, the warper book, a robe of the arch-magi and a buckler of reflection!

Though I feel this is a missed opportunity to name your offspring "Sigmund", especially since IIRC you're German, so it wouldn't be a name that kids would make fun of because of its extraordinariness ;)

I wouldn't want to name my child after a character who I try to kill on a regular basis...

Are you going to refer to him as Felix, Jacob, or or something else entirely?

That's fantastic... now you get to watch the transition between spriggan, kobold, halfling, dwarf and eventually to human. Hopefully without an ogre stage, but the odds aren't good :)

Ummm ...
So at the first stage, the boy would crawl everywhere at insane speed with the parents unable to catch him?
Later, he becomes seriously carnivorous a would eat at any time?
Then he starts hurling everything around?
Later he becomes heavily stubborn and eager to fight anyone?
And then he becomes an adult human, fairly good at everything?

Hmmm ... In fact, these descriptions are not that far from the usual behavior of children ;) .
