I'm not sure it's a Giger work, it doesn't really evoke genitals.

States to Steaks. Small little states like R.I. give you a tiny little fish steak. Alaska kills you by burying you in steak rations.

if we're being technical about it, it'd be a snakebullthing, but given Crawl's use of Yaktaur I think it's fairly safe to call nagas snaketaurs.

This NEEDS to be in the game, but as an actual, serious opponent. We're talking... perhaps a 3 or 4 or maybe even 5 star demon with a nasty slew of debilitating debuffs, particularly Mesmirize (ala Mermaids), Misleading (making them the only thing in the game besides Mara that can do that), and Paralysis/Confusion smite targeting that ignores half a player's MR (making it a great threat status-wise the way Hellfire is a great threat offensively). They'll also Blink, drain stats aggressively (maybe also smite targeting, the way a Nexoqec attacks your Intelligence, only she can do it with all three stats), possibly a Pain-brand melee attack ala Grinder or Vampiric brand as if it's feeding off your soul in true Succubus fashion. If such a creature is super dangerous then maybe it's better to call her a Lilim, for that matter, but seriously this needs to be in the game in some form.

varkarrus wrote:Pets!

Hey, what if there were a Shop where you could purchase permanent summoned ally creatures (well, permanent until they die at least)? We have the Scroll of Summoning but that's about it as far as permanent allies go (unless you count certain deities), but to get things like Spiny Frogs or Deep Elf Conjurers or Death Yaks following you through all the floors helping you fight in exchange for a modest sum of gold would be pretty fantastic. :) There comes a point where the Scroll's Small Abomination is nothing more than a one-turn meat shield anyway, so in the later floors if you could hire the really strong ones like Hell Knights or Tentacled Monstrosities or Dire Elephants for high amounts of gold, perhaps we could see some new stylish games being played ala teamwork-- and it'd be REALLY cool if they were cheering you on while you're holding the Orb and trying to escape! (Heck, you could add that to Beogh's Orc dialogue right NOW if it's not too much trouble!) Make the player feel a bond and attachment to his groupies, that kind of thing. ^^
