They already do. If you check the source code you will find (albeit that it's not very easy to find) references to "bf" - this is the Beogh Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization supported by most orcs . They get tax breaks on their donations to this not-for-profit foundation. How else do you think they came to be the only playable race with its own god?

Heh. This looks similar to ЗОПУ (ASSOS), another orc support group originated in Russian Fidonet...

For the 0.11 release tournament there should be a robin clan with all the different robin accounts in it.

Re: Generic Brainstorming!

Jokes aside, that would be an excellent idea!

But, instead of Robins, there can be collaborative accounts for a few players.
For example: R18 + Grimm + 78291 == RGZip_robin

Or R18_skillrobin, for example.

That also explains why they have so damn much money just lying around their headquarters. They're some kind of CULT, man.

dpeg mentioned elsewhere that even before Stone Soup there was the idea of a Spider God, who could only be joined by a player who was in spider form.

Better idea: Pig God. Kirke and the Pig altar would always generate on the same level.

New god, Kermit the Frog. Appreciates? Dislikes? Is in a inter-species relationship with Miss Piggy.

Considering that crawl doesn't feature the French this isn't really a problem.

Paper wasps. When a scroll is generated on deep dungeon levels there is a chance it will have a flag set to have a paper wasp inside and when you read the scroll the wasp comes out.

The RNG should be a actual monster in the game. The RNG is a renamed Test Spawner. Killing it gives you a set of loaded die which you use to determine all your die roles. The only downside to killing it is the fact that after you have killed it you have to role all your own dice.

In the interests of science, I must inform you this does not qualify as brainstorming. Because it already exists. Seriously, took me about a minute to find. Two to find an unambiguous example.

...let's avoid links and discussion though. Keep the board clean. I mean, kids play this game. Theoretically. Assuming they have the patience for it, and have somehow been somehow traumatized into accepting "losing is fun" earlier in life than is the norm.

New brainstorm: we need something specifically for the traumatized children playing this game.

Has a small chance of being decaf, and thus having no effect.

has a rare chance of spilling on your lap, essentially casting sticky flame on yourself.

drinking more than two of these in a short time will give you the new "jitters" status, which is a combination of speed, and the shouting mutation, you pass out when this status ends.

There actually is a jittery mutation in the game, maybe it's from there being coffee mixed into the !mutation.

Unrandart Boxing Gloves. +3 Gloves that add 3 to your base Unarmed damage and a chance to knock down (paralyze) an opponent for a number of turns proportional to your Unarmed Combat skill.

You can't wield weapons, wear shields or throw things with them equipped. Using scrolls is also a bit difficult (identical to "blurry vision 1" mutation).

New Robin proposal. Grimmrobin. Play either MiBe in 0.10 or MdFi in older versions. Every other post in chat has to be either a pun or a highly obscure literary reference. These are the only gameplay differences. (Sorry Grimm about this idea.)

How about the unrandart Makhleb's Dirty Fightin' Brass Knuckles. These brutal fist wrapped barbs are permanently cursed, and can not be removed once worn, but they aren't a weapon, they're a glove-slot item (mostly so you can still butcher corpses). Brass knuckles have a good chance of knocking an opponent's teeth one to three tiles away from them. Loose teeth can be used as sling ammo.
