Proposal: Rockets

I think Crawl should have rockets. When you launch a rocket at a monster, it explodes into gibs if hit directly by the projectile. ***LUDICROUS GIBS*** is an example message that could signal that this has happened. Possibly gibs could be eaten as chunks.

This would also allow addition of a cyberdemon monster to Crawl, which imo it is sorely lacking -- see Poschengband for an exemplary implementation of cyberdemons in a roguelike. I guess DoomRL did an okay job too.

I agree. Also there should be Shadow spiders that are immune to the rockets.

Rocket should be in the game, but the vegetable. There should be a panoply of more or less interchangeable but exotic vegetables as there is of fruits.

I disagree. Rocket is not an exotic vegetable. It is common.

new monster: tick

it attacks you by attaching to you without you knowing it. 1% chance per some number of turns of discovering it. After some other number of turns, you have a chance of catching Lyme disease, which is sort of like post-berserk weakness that strikes randomly for the rest of the game.

Could be a new monster for Forest. Watch out in that long grass!

Except that there are no deer there so it's not clear that the reservoir is.

This is a fantasy game. We can have ticks with somewhat less discriminating palates.

This way insanity lies. MARK MY WORDS.

They have already quarantined themselves into the hell on earth they have created called "CYC". A bit like in Hellraiser: Inferno.

If this is indeed so then Grimm is the most latex loving dwarf I've ever had the pleasure of sharing a forum with.
