What monster was the David to your chars' Goliath?

What is the weakest monster that has killed your strongest character? Bonus points if it is in an unusual way.

I lost a rather strong draconian transmuter to a catoblepas because I had macroed 1 to be za. for a caster, and then decided to use the numpad to move diagonally down and to the left. Apparently casting beastly appendage while in calcifying dust is not the best use of a turn.

It isn't quite as much of an unusual story, but the next good DrTm got killed on shoals:5 by a javelin (or two) to the face, which is rather david vs goliath. I failed an 8% failure rate step from time on the last turn

This is not a bad topic, but I need to spend some time on reminiscing to remember something. Can't say anything off the bat.

I lost an early ogre when a merfolk (the one in that food vault with the fish) threw a net at me. To clarify, it wasn't being entangled that killed my guy. The net did enough damage to kill me.

Back in 0.10 I lost a maybe something like xl 20 character to poison courtesy of orc knight's poisoneous crossbow. I just watched my hp go down after killing the knight unable to find new potions. I had stashed my curing potions to "some place safe" And safe they where, even from my character's reach. That was pretty stupid.

I lost a GrHE of TSO to a mid-level mummy zig. That's usually not a bad place to die; however, this character had 97 AC (Gr race + maxed crystal plate armor + ring of robustness + auxilary slots and 27 armor skill). Stone skin brought that up to 102 AC. I also had all the skills and spells that I needed to dominate the end-game. Oh, and I breezed through a zig right before that.
Smite and torment spam is pretty bad, but I have no excuses for losing a character that could manage 102 AC.
