Spell Costs

Is there a way to see what the cost for a spell is, in MP? I don't see anything listed in the Memorize, Description, or Cast screens.

Re: Spell Costs

The MP Cost is the same level as the Spell - think Final Fantasy. If playing Vehumet, higher level spells cost a little less but that's the only real exception.

Seeing as how you have a lot of questions, you may want to just throw them all into one thread instead of several.

Good to know, especially since this guy said he's playing the beta.

Or read the manual. Or play tutorial and hint modes. Or use your brain.
<+Grunt> You dereference an invalid pointer! Ouch! That really hurt! The game dies...

Please post a quote from one these that has what I couldn't find! A level 1 spell doesn't cost 1 MP all the time as I had 4 of 5 MP left and couldn't cast Magic Dart. If you used your brain you would know that not everyone has magic access to knowledge. Just because it is obvious to you doesn't mean its common knowledge to the whole world.

Why are you wasting your time posting on the "Dungeon Crawling Advice" forum if you don't want to give advise.

Well it was but this is sort of evolving into senseless garbled responses that I can no longer make heads or tails of.

Re: Spell Costs

If you're having serious trouble, see if you can get a game going on one of the webtiles servers, and then see if you can get some spectators to give advice. You seem to be having a ton of trouble with the game, but it's hard to know what exactly you're doing wrong without some look at your characters/games.

If you were at "Near Starving" or "Starving" then the hunger cost of magic dart was probably too high to allow you to cast it.....

Re: Spell Costs

Are you sure you weren't miscasting it? Spells cost their level in mana, even if they fail.

well sometimes your character gets high and 1s begin to look like 7s so you need 7 mp to cast lvl 1 spells, fucked up but true
