Things about playable species...

Like, draconians. They are so bad@ss in the zot, but yours probably s@ck...
And same thing with octopodes... The big brother version of them in the shoal is sooo powerful...
And deep dwarfs, minotaurs, and ghouls, they are so different from what they are when you encounter them...
I know this is for the sake of gaming, but I mean shouldn't all those be a part of their genetic codes of each species?

Yeah, I know, life is hard~~~~ ;)

Re: Things about playable species...

Uh, by the time Dr characters get to Zot, they can solo whole squads of enemy Draconians. Thus, the "your Dr probably aren't as good as the Dr guys in Zot" argument loses weight. Same with Ghouls - they show up in high level places so it's a given they're supposed to be high level too, just like you are when you meet them.

You do know that yours can turn into real dragons and/or spit firestorms, right? :P

The new pc quokka will turn this on its head. Bit of a pushover in D2 or wherever but wait til you play an XL27 QuBe of Trog: then you're going to see some scaly draconian ass getting kicked!

I thought the player Quokka was going to be a gimmick species that starts strong and actually gets weaker the deeper it goes.

Is that a pacifying nuzzle or a damaging nuzzle?

How come we don't have felids in the dungeon to kill and they keep respawning 9 times.

There are felids, but I've only ever seen them in player-monster-themed vaults. They do not have nine lives.

Boris is a felid. I thought that was well known.

Now there's an idea for preventing exploits of Felid extra lives: you respawn Boris-style on a level that you haven't reached yet.
You fall off the wall. You have a feeling of ineptitude.
