Re: old news to us

I'm from Western Australia, where quokkas are from, and I just assumed they were well-known animals and that's why they were in crawl. Then I saw people on reddit posting "TIL quokkas are real" and I facepalmed a little.

Yes, Qwebeckers subsist almost entirely on narwhal meat.

I think a better idea - better because it's mine - is when Crawl gets ported to Playstation or Wii or whatever, the quokka be used as a marketable mascot, in the vein of Sonic the Hedgefox or Mario the Scottish Plumber. Can't you just see it? "Quimby the Quokka", with his oversized tennis shoes and "cool" sunglasses, would appear on t-shirts and myspace pages all across the globe. Children would imitate his distinctive accent.

I presume you're familiar with the slang meaning of quim and that this name is thus intentionally offensive.

Their should be a vault where a couple of Quokas are kicking a CBoE around... Because then they would be playing Quoka soccer!

I knew I tried a cheesy beer once, finally found what it was :
Image

* Not a real "cheese" beer, but a beer made specifically for a cheese maker and festival. I you want dairy product in your beer, get some Japaneses beer (bilk).

We even have beer cheeses, I strongly recommande the Cheddar Guiness. ;)

As for bear we don't really eat them, mostly because they are fucking dangerous to hunt (not the animal themselves, the forest ranger and cops :D ). And also because some of then are full of toxins and worms, eg polar bears eat only fishes, their meat uncooked can kill you (or your dogs...), cooked only make you sick, alone in the cold, surrounded by MOAR polar bears.

So yeah, I don't think a Quokka is strong enough to survive a winter next to a poisonous drunken fat bear. That's why they appear much sooner than polar bears in the dungeon.
