Too many axes?

a - the +8,+2 executioner's axe "Yciniam" {god gift, elec, rF+ Dex+1 Stlth++}
b - a +0,+6 executioner's axe of electrocution {god gift}
h - the +2,-2 battleaxe of Nunesai {god gift, flame, +Inv Str+4 SInv}
m - a +0,+4 dwarven anti-magic battleaxe {god gift}
p - the +5,+0 executioner's axe of Fupomm {god gift, chop, rPois Dex+3}
t - a +1,+1 dwarven hand axe
v - a +0,+2 battleaxe of venom {god gift}

Nope, I need them all...
a - travel axe (stl++!)
b - damage axe
h - hydra, inv, see inv axe
m - magic axe, not sure what this does yet...
p - rP axe
t - throwing axe
v - venom axe

15lvl, MiBe. Have only touched axes as weapons. Thanks Trog!!

P.S. please send +15 vamp executioner axe. Of speed.

Eventually you won't need the traveling axe, stlth++ becomes less useful once you train up stealth yourself, or commit to heavy, stealth breaking gear. You don't need a poison axe if you've got a sick damage axe. You probably don't need an antimagic axe if you've got a sick damage axe either, but I haven't experimented with that brand yet. The rest, you need. For now.

I do love it when you end up with a blade for every occasion. It's fun. Though when it happens to me it's usually with short blades. When I play an axe character, I usually end up with one ol' reliable.

a is almost as good as b for damage and has rF+. I'd ditch b
h isn't really useful, a L15 Be can take hydras with berserk without a flaming weapon.
m isn't worth it that much, not sure if you'd be switching.
p isn't that good, but if you don't have rPois anywhere else, I guess...
t is junk.
v is bad too.

So really, I'd just keep a, and maybe p :P

Thank you for the comments. I just made it out of the dungeon with a MiBe using a vamp battleaxe. Check out the latest YAVP.

My Mi/MDBe's usually carry many axes. I can carry them without problems and they all have a use. Regarding the above list:

b, I agree now, chuck it.
h, I've been *&^3ed by hydras too many times before, I only hit them with fire or non-head-adding weapons.
m, what does this do? It is good against Nicola/Maya? or Fire Orbs? I got a +10 anti-magic battleaxe last game and it seemed to work well for a while...
p, yes for rPois
t, for throwing, now I know it is junk, a Be shouldn't throw stuff unless s/he wants darts as gifts.
v, I like venom weapons for groups of yaks, elephants and blink frogs. Better they die than come back...
