I used to listen to 8 Bit music from 8BC.org
But now I've found some great Ambient Horror soundtracks that freak me out and cause me to be extremely cautious.

I mainly listen to back episodes of Uhh Yeah Dude while I play.

I listen to Aesop Rock recently, and just about anything else that sounds interesting and/or good.

I don't listen to music when I'm crawling, it makes me play too recklessly.

Savatage FTW.

Dungeons of Dredmor is a nicely drawn, but quite difficult-to-manage rougelike. It has its good sides, and one of them is music.
I especially liked the "Mines theme".

For those who like suspense or feeling of Watching Over The Destiny Of Somebody,
DEFCON Soundtrack will be an excellent supplement to the game.

I love me some DEFCON. Talk about a cruel game.

I did not even install it. The music is what is interesting.

Ambient techno if I'm trying to survive past the temple; trance if I want to feel all fatalistic and spiritual while playing.

Heck yeah I listen to music! That's actually one of the perks of Dungeon Crawl, is that there's no sound to get in the way of other stuff. Most of what I listen to is video game-related (either soundtracks or remixes). I've worked on a bunch of mixtapes while sending numerous brave adventurers to die horribly in the Dungeon. Of course, sometimes I get distracted with trying not to die and have to go back and re-listen to a couple of songs to see if they fit together well...
