I think both STDs and STIs are current but they are all infections so it's reasonable to use the latter.

That's because the developers haven't told anyone the win condition. Also, it's PvP is horribly unbalanced and your character is rolled randomly, there are massive amounts of grinding and keeping track of trivial stuff, no autoexplore or autojournal to keep track of quests & items. Really bad design.

Tons of no-brainers, and a complicated food subgame that takes up a significant chunk of playtime.

It's also chock-full of mini-games that can really distract you from the actual game itself.

Not to mention mention that there's no tutorial or instructions, and your character continually ages towards permadeath as you desperately try to figure out how to play, and what to do. I mean, jeez, it's a wide open sandbox with permadeath, massive featureitus, and an unpredictable time limit.

If you think the food clock in this game is bad, the ID minigame is atrocious. Some classes exist solely for the purpose of playing this minigame (and some of those are prestige classes, even!).

On the plus side, the game has some shops you can sell things in. Also cooking.

It suffers from a pay to win model though. Funded characters get absurd advantages unfunded players can't hope to match.

In this game, picking up "floor trash" isn't as profitable as in DCSS (don't go around hoping to find a shotgun or rocket launcer on the ground), and sometimes it can even be dangerous (you get sued, which is much more costly and annoying than get cursed).

On the other hand the Thief class is viable.
