There's actually a sweet spot or "window" of alcohol consumption that suppresses second-guessing sufficiently that it can actually improve one's performance in some games, usually reflex-based ones like FPS and platformers. My Crawl performance on the other hand has always been damaged by booze.

Moderate alcohol consumption may improve problem-solving. Long-term moderate alcohol consumption also reduces age-related cognitive decline, i.e. may reduce the chances of dementia in later life. Heavy drinking and binge drinking are, however, bad for you.

Nay, unfortunately. Our monopoly of strong alcohol liquids had those a few years back, dunno if you can order them from somewhere. And I'm out too, my last bottle that was .
