Which Unique in Crawl would you be?

Here's a fun, thought-provocative question. If you were a Unique in Crawl, who would you be and how come? Give multiple reasons if you can and be descriptive. Thought is good. And I'm talking about "which best fits and describes you", personality-wise and the way you play your game, not "which would you LIKE to be".

Me, I've realized recently I would be Agnes. A battle princess, unusual for her species, hoarding excess treasures. In the game she's not a spellcaster the way I am, but she fits my own description very well even so.

Or I might be Psyche. Mentally ill, a hopeless romantic, a good spellcaster who prefers a "fun" weapon.

Let's have some introspect!

Well, yeah, but considering the mortality rate for every unique in the game, it's not exactly safe to be one of them, either.

I assume Duvessa is a raging crazy lady, just look what happens when you kill off poor Dowan.

Also... Dowan is probably the least powerful unique - i dont think i've ever been afraid of him... does he get more powerful somehow if you kill off Duvessa ?

Maybe Mennas. Not so much for the whole holy thing, but more the fact I don't say a whole lot. That and if I was to be a deadly warrior prowling the dungeon, I'd want to be the one that makes everyone say "OH SH!T!"

Boris would probably be the other one. Powerful mage who doesn't stay dead? Sign me up.

Once you kill Duvessa, Dowan gets a very nice set of very deadly spells. He is one of the more dangerous early-dungeon uniques, especially for primary-melee characters, because he has the nasty habit of blinking away and hitting you with throw icicle for half your health. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

i usually ROFLstomp Dowan first - when Duvessa enrages at me i run away a bit and then come back to finish her off.

but throw icicle does sound pretty potent early on.

Fascinating. I have yet to encounter this. I always thought he just gets Haste and increased attack power for his existing spells. He's probably used the Icicle on me but never hit me with it; it seems like a pretty inaccurate move the times I've used it.

I didn't think Pan Lords and demons were affected by Pain Brand.

They aren't, but that didn't stop Frances (who doesn't even have the brand, she only has the spell)
