If piety never decresed, what would be the best class/god?

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

If piety never decresed, what would be the best class/god?

Just something I was thinknig about when I was playing around in Wizard mode.
Let's say that the piety never decresed (apart from doing things that are forbidden, so like using necromutation while worshipping the shinning one would have you kicked out, or desecrating Orcish remains would lower it with Beogh), what would you say it's the most powerul god/class/race combo?
Oh and to be fair, you won't be getting gifts like crazy; the gift timeout is still in effect but you can use any power that requires piety without worry.
You also have to raise the piety to 200 yourself (so no worshipping Vehemut and getting all six books right away).

I'd go with some sort of race (any really bar demi gods for obvious reasons) and go with Kiku.
Once you get animate dead/twisted resurrection, you could basically summon corpses as much as needed, raise them, feast on the ones that you don't use when you get hungry and pretty much steamroll with a never ending undead army.
Plus in places like Zot, you'd get dragons so... it'd be pretty powerful.

Oh, one last thing about the gift timeout, to prevernt blatant scumming, you'd still have to do things that reduce the gift timeout (so no constantly waiting as a mummy with Yred to be given unlimited bone dragons).

Anyone else have a more broken combo that the Kiku example? And can anyone see any flaw in it?

Permanent pain mirror with Yred on a beefy species.
Indefinite slouching with Chei.
Indefinite cleansing flame with TSO.

Permanent Scrying. (I just imagined a troll-faced Ashenzarite cruising through the dungeon...)

Zin. Infinite vitalisation means everyone can play like a Mummy with no food clock. Plus all of his help in extended.

I think MyOtheHedgeFox wins - isn't Ely lifesaving perfect at 200 piety? You could just ask for protection all the way to the orb and back.

I think a army of berserk stone giants filling the entire screen is the best lifesaving you can have. And I don't think Ely lifesaving is perfect at 200 piety.
