Playing sub-optimally just for convenience

I have an Arcane Marksman with an electric crossbow, and later learned airstrike to deal with aerial foes or for if line of fire is blocked. The crossbow is probably more powerful, but lately I've been using airstrike more and the crossbow less, simply because it's less of a hassle than switching weapons and retrieving bolts.

Similar situation for me during IE runs when I end up with both Throw Icicle and Airstrike. Airstrike does less damage but it always hits.
