Experienced but crap clan

I've started this clan - moved from another thread:

Suggestions for a name for such a clan are welcomed.

I would join, though I'm afraid I've only played and splatted a few hundred characters.

Jabberwocky and rchandra are members, though you'd each better tell me if you use a different name to play online. Other members who meet the criteria (or come anywhere close, or who don't) welcomed.

I use Jabberwocky as my crawl name. Now what do I do? Play Crawl online?

You follow the instructions here, i.e. add my name as instructed. It's ConfidenceInterval (no space) online. Then you play Crawl online. Be sure to win big time.

The Unbearable Lightness of Crawling: http://seleniac.org/crawl/tourney/12a/c ... erval.html

We are currently riding high in 75th place, so don't worry too much about the big time winning...

My favorite team name is "Geryon my Wayward Son", followed closely by "sonic yiuf".

I think that which of those names makes more sense is likely to relate to one's age: the "wayward son" reference passed me by and I liked sonic yiuf more.

"GrinderFodder" sounds nice as well.

Okay, I've followed those instructions, I don't seem to be showing up in the clan though.

The clan script checks every four hours for changes, so just be patient. I had the same problem :).

I'm 23 but I know "carry on (my) wayward son", probably have to blame Supernatural for this, but then again it's a nice song anyway. :)

I'm coming off the hubris of a couple nice (offline) wins, but I've got no clan, no wins, in the tourney yet. Mind an extra player?

btw, console play has been... an adjustment. I tried tiles on CDO, but it just ran too slow for me. I've had to learn some really useful key combinations in the meantime!

I was talking no wins ever, really, but you're welcome. Is midpoint also your online name?

Midpoint, yup. Just thought I'd throw it out there before the clans are locked down later today. If you want to keep it to 'no wins yet', I'm ok either way.

Fine, you're in. Just add my name to your rcfile.

I am quite interested in joining this! I too have yet to win, or honestly even get a rune (though my losses are more like a few hundred offline, 200+ online, mostly KoBe and SpWz though now wandering into HOFi and SpEn builds).

Fine with me, as long as it gets through before the cut-off (23:00 UTC on March 3). I will add your name - please add mine to your rcfile as per the instructions.

I am living up to the clan premise, splatting good characters in Lair:8 and Orc:4 by mindlessly fighting instead of considering retreat soon enough. And I don't play fast enough (especially online) to be able to afford such deaths...

Excellent: good to see you fighting the good but slightly ill-considered fight. Go clan!
