Mino is dead. Managed to avoid a hellwing but a lemure and an frost imp screwed me over.

Happens pretty often. Xom gifts are occasionally random acquirements, and gold is one possibility.

I've played CKs quite a bit and I know that, but over 3000 gold on XL2 ins a single acquirement strikes me as a bit over the top. (I guess if he can gift +9 rods of destruction and other items of high value, why not gift its value in gold instead of giving you an item)

It's not "a high value item's worth in money" acquirement. It's gold acquirement. It can give you 3k+ gold. Up to 5520, in fact, if the learndb info is up to date.

Seems that my belief that gold acquirement scales with XL is false.
