If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

...every time you're on Microsoft Word (or some other word processor) and press 'o' accidentally, you wait for several seconds like something would come up.

...you start wondering when the hell you'll finally be able to summon demons, since you've been listening to heavy metal and playing D&D (and thus probably worshiping Makhleb) since forever now.

You keep trying to navigate things with the numpad instead of arrow keys.

My o, z, and tab keys are actually notably more worn then all my other keys.

^ When I was playing WoW frantically (more than a year ago) at some point I had to change my laptop's keyboard cause I was missing S, W, Q, E & D completely. I was pressing against the bare chip near the end when I wanted to use those, even the plastic component underneath the keys was completely gone, lol.

Stupid question, what do those keys do?

Q & E are for strafing left and right respectively
W & S are moving forward-backward
D was some hotkey for an ability that I had mapped

Geez! I know WoW is not a FPS, but you'd think they'd go with something a bit more standard (using A and D to strafe)...

Then again, WoW has been around a while, and it seems plausible that they came up with their key mappings even before Quake 3 came up with using A and D to strafe...

Well, you can always change the key bindings however you wish, I just got used to that setup.

But let's stay in-topic. :P

My current keyboard doesn't have printer letters. Instead it's transparent plastic with luminescence.
Anyway, I suggest that for the next version, we change every binding of crawl to give some rest to our keyboards.

As for side note, in my chemistry class, I started to use the ! symbole instead of writing "solution", same for book or the -X++ notation when I need the proprieties of something.

Nahh. Spellbooks are full of mystical incantations that bend the laws of reality.
