Good computer games?

I know this is a question regularly asked on forums and answers boards, but I'd like your opinion on this. Before you proceed on bombarding me with titles of random games, be aware that I've experienced quite a bit of what the market has to offer and I may already know the things you suggest. I'm looking for obscure gems on which you stumble upon only by chance. Maybe you know something that I don't know. Also, I don't care if the game is in Alpha or Beta or finished. Great indie games are appreciated most.
I'm looking for any sort of games that go by one or more of the following definitions:
Dungeon Crawlers - Whether it is a rogue-like (do mind that I've experienced quite a bit of those -JADE, ToME, Dungeons of Dredmore- though and DC:SS is far superior so I'm probably not gonna bother with any unless it's something I've missed) or a DIablo clone -Torchlight, Din's Curse, Sacred- or anything else that fits here. I'm mostly looking for this category at the moment since I'd like some mindless grinding for items.
Sims with RPG elements and vice versa - Preferably with no RTS elements.
Any sandbox games with or without RPG elements - Minecraft is an example but its on a plane of its own so other, lower awesomeness stuff will do too.
On a different note, does anybody know when Desktop Dungeons Beta is going to come out officially? I don't wanna see the unfinished product but the wait is killing me! I loved the Alpha. If you know of other games similar to DD feel free to suggest them, though I'm guessing that list would mostly be Minesweeper variants.
