slime enslavement

I used a wand of enslavement on (at?) a Slime Creature and it became charmed. Then it merged with another Slime Creature and I got a charmed large slime creature. Then it split and I had two charmed slime creatures.
Is that behaviour intended? It seems a bit strange, but it is funny nonetheless.

This is probably a bug - IMHO those two slimes are not supposed to merge, rather they should fight each other. You may want to file this one on Mantis.
