Neither care if you randomly give $1000 dollar gifts to random homeless people on the street. They are both perfectly happy to kill you in the most unfortunate, degrading, or improbable way and keep right on going. The only difference is that in Crawl when you die you can just start up a new character and rush at that orb until you win.
