Bug or feature? TSO interprets Trog wrath as player action

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

Bug or feature? TSO interprets Trog wrath as player action

  1. That's from an actual game of Nebukadnezar: TSO penance because Trog's wrath (fireball) killed a summoned angel. Bug or feature?

      Code:
Trog hurls firey rage upon you! The fireball explodes! The fireball engulfs you! You resist. The fireball engulfs your angel!!!! You kill your angel! You feel extremely guilty.

  2. This happened to me recently: TSO rewarded me because Trog's wrath (fireball, too) killed an enemy. Bug or feature?

      Code:
Trog hurls fiery rage upon you!  The fireball explodes! The fireball engulfs you. You resist.  The fireball engulfs the catoblepas skeleton!!!  You destroy the catoblepas skeleton!  The Shining One accepts your kill.

Re: Bug or feature? TSO interprets Trog wrath as player acti

This was a bug, a pretty good one really (internally, wrath shares code with dith shadow, and so it was accidentally getting credited to the player the way shadow attacks do). Now fixed in trunk: https://github.com/crawl/crawl/commit/f9c1391b642b
