They come out quite at the top of my list of vanquished creatures. Do we really need another kind of Lich that is even nastier than an Ancient Lich?

.27 is separating out a lot of the monsters with several spellbooks into different monsters, so they only have one spellbook each. Dread liches are really more like "Ancient liches, with the summoning flavored spellbook" than a truely new monster.

Note that while it's true they summon, I think the Paralyze is the biggest threat if you haven't gotten your Will++++ yet. Then again, I tend to stack MR to avoid this.
