Is this how Jiyva works?

I only played Jiyva once. While Jiyva keeps around 3 mutaions on you if you don't feed jellies, the number of mutations can raise to more or less 8 if you grazes, for example, a cleared Vault floor. Those, nonethesless, Jiyva tends to take back very quickly. But since Jiyva does not give (and take I assume) mutations if you are undead, is it possible to bring all items to a single floor, request jellies, and then cast lich form to reatin dozens of mutations? Will the number of mutations be maxed out? Will most of the mutations be inert during lich form? Will all extra mutations time out at once the moment you end your lich form or will it only resumes the ticking of the clock?

You can't get a mutation when you're undead. Most mutation are disabled when you are Lich form. The mutation will resume when it is out of the undead state.
