Hot DCSS Spell Poll

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering which spells people regard as the most and least useful. So I've made a silly poll about it:

I'd really appreciate it if you voted in it, regardless of your skill level! You don't have to answer every question if you don't want to.

Before I answer, two questions:

1) Most useful: at soon as it's possible to cast it, considering a 3 runes game, or a 15 runes game? Because e.g. for me in the first case, best 2nd spells should be poisonous vapor, call imp or corpse rot, otherwise swiftness or blink.
2) Most useful: considering optimal play or personal playstyle? Because e.g. I never use animate skeleton because it's an horrid interface screw, but it's arguably the best lv.1 spell in the long run (but that depends on the first answer, because best 1st level spell could be freeze)

Some of these were tough calls, especially for best spells in the middle categories. Elemental schools are so close that last place felt pretty close to 1st.
