Posted: Friday, 23rd March 2018, 21:32Since you can't start with monsters in sight they would have had to lure all these monsters back to the start. I suppose it's possible one or two where hiding directly behind the door but that's unlikely.

Does 'in sight' mean 'you can see them' or 'unbroken line of fire to them'? If the latter, then Crawl can place monsters on the other side of a glass walled start.
