New 2nd all-time highscore - 18,975 turns by tidbits
The 2nd all time highscore has just been achieved by tidbits with a GnNe that scored a whopping 75 million points, after getting 15-runes in 18,975 turns!
This is a particularly amazing achievement as it nearly touches upon the #1 highscore, Charly's VSMo, while having no controlled teleport at all!
It is also only the 2nd crawl game in history to be under 19k turns while having collected 15-runes. I think this this definitively proves that world-record speedruns can be done in the newer versions as well as in 0.17 and earlier.
The run could have been even faster than this breakneck speed, but the MR++ on this GnNe proved to be costly as tidbits was abyssed on the orbrun and had to frantically search for an exit. This still didn't stop the run from being under 19k turns, and establishes Gnolls as the prime speedrun race in 0.21 and beyond.
The Necromancer start in 0.21 has Borgnjor's Vile Clutch as a starting spell which allowed tidbits to demolish most earlygame challenges to him, and the Robes of Vines + Cheibriados allowed for very fast regen, I recall it being 7 HP/turn at one point, which is an important factor in acquiring a world record speedrun such as this one.
However, the most important factor in this was tidbits' measured and patient play in acquiring the 15-runes as efficiently as possible. There were a lot of situations in that game(like the Lom Lobon fight,Tomb or the orbrun.) where I simply would have died.

Impressive run, I'm not entirely sure gnolls are the new speed run meta, but it certainly is a possibility.
