Ring of Flight temporary?

Am I going crazy here, or was ring of flight permanent flight fairly recently? I swear to god last time I did Shoals I didn't have to start flying every 10 seconds and it was bliss.

it's always been temporary flight since at least 0.15, you may be thinking of boots of flight which is indeed permanent

it was always temporary flight before 0.15 too

Ahhh, right I actually managed to get those boots on a game where I had Shoals, I was freaking ecstatic

Yeah it would be really imbalanced if you could get perma-flight just by sacrificing a ring slot to ring of nothing, I mean ring of flight.
