Re: Make Invisibility spell cancellable

Good point.

If this is not an acceptable solution, I'd at least like to see an indicator telling you how far you'll get contaminated if you use Invisiblity or haste yourself at a given point. Can be in form of a range (e.g. "up to light gray contamination" except worded nicely).

Re: Make Invisibility spell cancellable

How about not having a tactically amazing spell that gives strategic maluses unless you "5" after every time you use it?

Re: Make Invisibility spell cancellable

I think invisibility can be fixed by being unable to cast it again unless you earn some specific amount of XP while visible.
Benefits:
1) It makes it clear for new players that you need to have an alternative way of killing things
2) no need to press 5 or check contamination before casting it
3) having haste and invisibility at the same time is possible and not OP
4) more decisions. Do I want to get invisible now or should I save it for next fight?

Re: Make Invisibility spell cancellable

Invisibility is barely viable as it is, the most annoying monsters can see invisible so you might as well invest exp in something actually usable for 100% of fights, I would not consider it a 'good' spell let alone an 'amazing' spell.
16/26 on the way to GreaterOctopode (Win all backgrounds as an Octopode)

Progress so far : OpFi, OpGl, OpWn, OpAr, OpCK, OpMo, OpBe, OpHu, OpVM, OpAM, OpWr, OpFE, OpEE, OpNe, OpTm, OpSk

Try playing some spriggans or felids, you might change your opinion.

Re: Make Invisibility spell cancellable

Many of the most annoying monsters (draconian shifter, shock serpent, orb spider) don't see invisible.
