There are no free games. There is always at least an opportunity cost!

you want to obtain dark souls 3. you could exchange money to an online retailer for it, but that would cost money, and it would be participating in capitalism, a system that you have vowed to destroy. you could pirate it instead, but this would take some extra time, time that you could otherwise spend fantasizing about your waifu. furthermore, there is no ethical consumption under late capitalism. do you pull the lever and divert the trolley?

What are the trolley's feelings about the bourgeoisie and running capitalist pig dogs?

Having seen a non-market economy, I suddenly understood much better what I liked about a market economy.

Sure, capitalism sucks, but it has (so far) sucked less than all the other things we've tried, so we're going to go with it.

Are you considering the global poverty situation in that statement, or the quality of life in your own surroundings? (Not that I think capitalism is the best idea for quality of life in North America and Europe either)

I don't know what's worse: that you took a trolley problem parody seriously, or that you're using "market economy" and "capitalism" as synonyms

So, other than communism which invariably descends into mass starvation/genocide every time it has been seriously tried - which alternative are you proposing?

Of course, capitalism has always excelled in preventing mass starvation...
