Borg's Revivification is a trap

Borg's Revivification is a trap

Borg's Revivification is a trap for new players. By the time you can afford to cast it in heavy armour, you already have 15 runes usually. And if you don't wear heavy armour, you should either cast level 9 spells (which compete for the same MP, nobody casts Revification when s/he can cast CBlink, Necromutation or another Fire Storm instead) or wear heavy armour.

It's just funny how people say that Necromutation is bad while Born is good when in reality Born is almost never used and Necromutation is great in many fights.

BR is just as good as worshipping mak, and by that i mean you should not plan your builds around losing hp, unless you are a DD.

I think DDoor is similar to BR in that sense.

It's good to be able to get your HP back in a pinch, people aren't "planning their builds around losing HP" if what you mean by that is running into battle with the intention of losing HP or something. Things just go wrong sometimes.

Not being in a pinch is better, aka trying to escape is normally a better choice. If you are in a pinch its normally due to being in a situation that you cannot handle.

Nobody is gonna get BR as their first high level spell, nobody is gonna get it at all until they have nothing else to get and its basically free. People will worship mak though, even claim hes better than ely, and i just consider that a bad idea.

Mak is better than Ely. Try getting 12 runes during orb run as Fo of Ely and tell me what you think.

Floss is almost never used but that doesn't mean drinking sulfuric acid is great for your teeth

This is, indeed, my typical everyday game scenario.

My point was that Makh provides more power, especially for good players who don't need life-saving abilities that much (or in case of 12 runes during orb run need it too often so Ely runs out of piety).

Yes, of course... this is not mutually exclusive with having borgs. Especially because it's in one of the best if not the best spell school in the game.

Just used borgs in zot5 lungs on a FoFi^Kiku (floorgod gift ) because 7 OOF's spawned in one lung.

Three times.

It's pretty good in a 3 rune.

Here is an old game that had pretty weird Borg scenario. Teleported right into the middle of Andy's rune room in Coc and he had 7 ice fiends there.
Had to use 4 Borg's because I had blurry vision to fuck up my blink scrolls. Was tormented into like 30 HP immediately after every Borg.

The funniest thing was that I did cast it at very low spellpower. Ended up losing about 120 max HP. But first and foremost, it saved my ass 4 times from certain death.

Re: Borg's Revivification is a trap

Necromut indeed would have been better when landing on a place like that. However, there was no chance of getting lichform at that point as Necronomicon was found in Pan (item history file doesn't have Borg spellbook anywhere). Starting to build up Transmutations skill with 10 INT in Pandemonium is just something I would never do :)
