Ring annoyance

Having to switch rings for whatever reason is a very frustrating thing imo, and it doesn't help that there are enemies that force you to perform this useless action before killing them ( unknown horror ).

I think the solution would be to increase the amount of rings a PC can wear (imo to 8 ) and to counter this remove all traits that randarts can have that overlap with ring types, and make it that so you can only where 2 of each ring type.

If seriously, a god who would give you extra ring slots replacing armour slots might be interesting. Octopod can be very powerful late game.

Make 21 ring slots.

By the way unseen horror forced me to use a ring with *Corrode in my last game (it was my only source of sInv). "Fortunately" I had an empty ring slot. Now imagine that I would be forced to use the *Corrode ring instead of robustness or +5 slaying. That's very far from useless action.

unseen horrors are the uncooked popcorn that are hard to eat because they are crunchy; they are not a threat once the ring is on, even if you had to swap for a top tier ring

I meant the case when there are other monsters around also.

You mean the case where the unseen horror is the least of your worries? Why in the world would you swap to a sInv ring?

No, I meant what I wrote - there are other monsters around. Probably it is some tavern meme but unseen horrors are not easy even alone and become even worse with other monsters. It's easy to die to a pack of monsters.
