New monster idea: Yaktaur ranger, Blasting devil

Yaktaur ranger
Appear in depths, vault
Always appear with yaktaur band
Throw nets to player (like merfolks)
SInv, immue to blind
Use Yara's violent unraveling to dispel invisibility

These could make yaktaur band more enjoyable!


Blasting demon
Tier-2 demon
Marks the spot of player, and prepare 'atomic bomb' targeting that place.
Preparing time is 3.0 turn.
Once launching is completed, the targeted spot is 'bombed'; 3d54 non-elemental damage on 3x3 area centered at the target. Smite-targeting.
The bomb launching is cancelled when it is killed.
They does not care other devils killed by their explosions (Or you can make devils immune to that type of bombs)

You have to avoid it by just moving 2 steps; but they can be counters to f-in OP Chei+Statue players.

hmmm

e: jokes aside, a statue form/chei player can still avoid it by cancelling their form and walking or just pressing ab, depending on which. nagas even move fast enough to get away in time.

Mark of the bomb is just a symbol, not a monster. ab of Chei would not apply.
Step from time's piety cost is expensive.

Chei+Statue player would easily avoid it by blink.
Anyway, it would make games of chei+statue players harder,
as their weakness mainly based on the situation that enemies are distant from them.

Yara's Violent Unraveling in hands of yaktaur packs certainly sounds funny, but more because of RMsl/DMsl than Invisibility. I think it might be worth trying out, though it still does nothing against yaktaur's biggest nemeses: Corners and Closed Doors.

Blasting demons are just stronger hellions with attack delay, is that it? The main problem is that 3.0 time is not enough for a normal naga to escape and statue spriggans* would still get out in time. Blasting demons' gimmick is just an additional incentive of using the Evoke Feet spell (i.e. running away/repositioning) and can be easily countered by luring. I think if you wanted them to actually do what you imagined, you'd have to add some sort of immediate mesmerization or slowing effect to them. I also imagine fighting them would be extremely annoying, like catoblepas taken up to eleven, where you have to sidestep 3 times instead of once each time they attack.

* Yes, I know; this is just for the sake of the argument.

Statue spriggan has a movement delay slower than Na unless they changed something recently.
