Weird stuff the RNG has done to you

So this game, I'm on lair 2, and I realized I hadn't found *a single wand/rod/misc* item, at all (I did control-F to make sure I hadn't missed anything), which is pretty weird.

I also had a game a while back, where I didn't find any boots until I was done with lair/S branches/vaults/dungeon/crypt and decided to take out Elf before heading to the depths.

What's your weird RNG story?

I recently had a character finish five runes with no boots ever generating. Lots of bardings, though, which I'd see every time I Ctrl-F "boot".

My DDAs of Makh won without boots, when the only pair generated in the game was corroded by yellow draws (old corrosion).

I also remember a game where the last 3 unknown wand types were something like magic darts, slowing, confusion.
