One reason why Earlygame is harder?

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

One reason why Earlygame is harder?

One reason for why the early game is harder than late game (besides having more consumables and escape options in late game) could be that enemies are proportionally harder in the early game. In early game, there are many enemies (early ogres, Sigmund, grinder, orc priests, etc) that must either be bypassed and killed later or require burning (a) consumable(s) to kill. However, in the late game and extended, the player is capable of killing basically everything. Even weak characters such as SpEn (not weak in general, but bad at direct melee) can still basically kill stuff such as titans/golden dragons/oof in 1v1 fights without too much trouble.

Yes, even enemies like hobgoblins are very dangerous early on... you have much fewer options, and also the enemies are proportionally more threatening.

The early game is a mini-game gauntlet where you run around naked with a tiny health pool. Your max HP increases with time at an exponential rate until you reach level 12, at which point it slows down. It's just programmed differently from the rest of the game, ok? even tho the whole game could have followed the early game's progression indefinitely, or the whole game could have been created similar to the lair+ experience.
