I know there are lists for the total kill count of every monster, but I am rather curious as to what the real mid and late game killers turn out to be.

Is there a list of monster kills per xp level somewhere?

How does Antaeus have the highest killcount of any demon lord? He is normal speed and has no summons.

He's in a hut full of ice fiends. Torment-torment-torment, then ice punches or lightning bolt, I guess? Also, people might not expect him to hit for like 100 damage, which he can!

As a tough melee guy at that stage of the game, all the other lords you can kill by buffing and then hitting repeatedly, almost always. Antaeus, however, can kill you before you kill him this way, because he hits so hard in melee. If you are not using ranged attacks I think he is much harder than the others.

12x an oklob plant?!? At XL27? Where does one run into oklob plants that late in the game, and then how does one manage to get killed by them?

There's a zot vault where all three downstairs are surrounded by an oklob forest with a bunch of classed yellow draconians and I think some acid blobs as well.
I'm surprised there aren't any there.

I hadn't thought of zigs, that makes sense since I assume you're dropped right in range of them. I mean... everywhere else the game goes out of its way to prevent you from even moving into range of the damn things.

Iirc Oklobzig has one tile out of range of Oklob fire, so you have to sit still there or have a good way to kill masses of Oklob plants while in range of other monsters.
