If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

Quick question about Hepl

Is it okay that your ancestor can swap it's place with monster statues (ice etc.)?

Great question. I hadn't considered it at all, to be honest. Maybe?

Re: Quick question about Hepl

I don't see another good Hepl thread, so I'll put this here:
-I just won a HOGl game with a hexer ancestor (on cbo). I don't win much, so Hepl is probably overpowered.
-I used transference constantly to close the distance to ranged threats or split up groups. It's fun. I never noticed it slowing enemies, because Glaciate did a lot of that already and I was usually transferring the ancestor to the edge of LOS. I can see where that part would be more important on a knight.
-I rarely used idealize- I don't care if it dies because it comes right back. Temporarily Increasing spellpower would have been useful early on.
-I don't think Paralyze vs Glaciate is a very interesting decision: Glaciate and confuse is just a lot better than slow and paralyze. Glaciate vs Enslave might be better.

Wait a second, so you're telling me hexer ancestor gets Glaciate??? How... does that even make sense?

Re: Quick question about Hepl

it might be nice if those spells had names that were more distinct. only so many synonyms for 'cold' in the english language, i guess!

the problem with enslave is that it could be sort of annoying if your hexer enslaved an enemy you were trying to kill - breaks autofight, etc. i think you're probably right that paralyse/m.e. is not a particularly even choice, but i'm not sure what to replace it with.
