Concept of Hepliaklqana needs to be merged with Beogh

Like, the ancestor god of orcish species?

They already have something in common, such as the follower system, etc. I mean... they resemble each other.
Hepliaklqana is quite boring religion, and has no difference with permanent summoning.
Beogh believers lose their power after 3~4 rune run, and become totally impotent at pandemonium & Hell.
If these concepts merged, Beogh will become popular and attractive.

I feel they play very differently. H gives a single ally who increases in power with the player, B gives many who increase in power individually. There's space for both, just like there is space for Y and B right now.

Also notably, Hep gives an expendable ally who will respawn later even if you leave him behind as hydra food, while Beogh allies can die permanently.

Despite the summon nerfs, it's becoming harder and harder to avoid allies as a Crawl character - not only do you have 8(!) new-ish evocables that make allies, there are 11 gods whose powers involve making allies, and now DCSS is adding ANOTHER god based around allies. Maybe I'm alone in utterly despising allies in Crawl but I find this development really worrying. I feel like ally spam is taking over the game; it's gone from a specific abusive strategy to something even suboptimally-played characters are obligated to do, because sacks of spiders and phantom mirrors and elemental evokables and ally gods are everywhere.

Do you actually want to talk to me or not? This is a serious question, unlike my previous post (which was not entirely serious, and I recognize that that is not always obvious; I would never have made that post in GDD, however).

edit: also to be fair, I actually think that summons (if you fix them by drastically reducing summon duration, which solves basically every problem with summons) have fewer problems than several god-related ally abilities, for what it's worth.

I feel like gods are more opt-in? Like, you either summoning god or you don't. You're never going to pass up 50 books with summoning spells in them, and the raw power of summoning as a school makes it hard to pass up at least dipping into IMO.
