I have become a pretty huge fan of the Circus Animals fork.

Assorted highlights: Twice as much inventory space (press i and I), Djinn heal when they take fire damage (inner flame hijinks!), Humans get cross-training with Ice/Earth/Air/Fire, Felids have 4 ring slots, piety amounts written numerically, no hunger no chopping.
Assorted lowlights / matters of opinion: things change frequently which can be confusing, poor documentation, some keybinds have moved around (spells are on "s" not "I"), very difficult to stair-dance (you fail to use stairs if you take damage).
