life live [drunk]

After 29 years of pretty much boring life-stagnation:

New job on my 30th Birthday.

6 days later, new relationship ( not officially a girlfriend but on the same relations). Exactly 1 week after, my brother joins the same company... Seems boring, huh? My dog died 2 days ago.

*hiccups*

yeah...I'm not really sober atm... in the middle of the party felt the urge to share this boring story with you, i don't know why... maybe it's the alcohol? I'll probably go to bed ( have to wake up at 7am)...

Please share your boring life stories here and pretend you are doing it purpose. Alcohol allowed and recommended !
What about the forests?

Re: life live [drunk]

most of that time playing crawl was actually just chatting with assholes while some schlub played crawl in the background, by the way.

these may seem like significant changes but they don't change the big picture: that life is just exhausting work for almost no reward, and mundanity will creep back up on you and your desperate attempts to temporarily banish it from your existence will land you in the psych ward for 3 months, where you'll half-seriously consider shoving rubbing alcohol up your ass or snorting your bupropion like they do in prisons because you can't actually take, drink or even just do anything worthwhile

Well I'm afraid I've got to spurn your recommendation old chap, I've sipped it once or twice at the behest of my so-called 'friends' and 'family' (though I think the phrase 'tenaciously sticky acquaintances' is more apt) and I say, what a load of swill, what a bitter horror liquid, a repeat of the atrociously popular 'coffee' all over again but without even Coffee's false olfactory promise, with the added 'benefits' of impairing my already poorly managed thoughts, those thoughts that become deeds that have left me with memories of my ill-considered deeds stretching back as far as I remember, certainly far further back and far more numerous than any joyful recollections, oh horror, that my own memories are but whips to flagellate myself, and it is this hideous self-sabotaging idiot feature of my psyche you wish to EXACERBATE with this devils-brew  ? I say no, not in a box, not with a fox, not one at a time, not whiskey nor wine, I would not drink it here or there.
I would not drink it anywhere.
I would not drink yeast dregs called beer
I would not drink it, CarbonBasedLifeform dear.

The next planet was inhabited by a tippler. This was a very short visit, but it plunged the little prince into deep dejection.

"What are you doing there?" he said to the tippler, whom he found settled down in silence before a collection of empty bottles and also a collection of full bottles.

"I am drinking," replied the tippler, with a lugubrious air.

"Why are you drinking?" demanded the little prince.

"So that I may forget," replied the tippler.

"Forget what?" inquired the little prince, who already was sorry for him.

"Forget that I am ashamed," the tippler confessed, hanging his head.

"Ashamed of what?" insisted the little prince, who wanted to help him.

"Ashamed of drinking!" The tipler brought his speech to an end, and shut himself up in an impregnable silence.

And the little prince went away, puzzled.

"The grown-ups are certainly very, very odd," he said to himself, as he continued on his journey.
