idk why the i do the starting vowel differently even though they both start with Y and theoretically with the same intent, i guess it's because it's a lot easier to to a y sound before n than it is to make a y sound before r. Try it if you don't believe me, yinox just kind of rolls off the tongue even though it's incorrect, but yired/yeered is a tongue buster.
