I'm from a Korean RL community called 'Roguelike gallery' which is the same community where '0 17 Korean god tier' post was made. (There are few other communities, but this one is similar with reddit's /r/roguelike).

We have throughly read your responses, and agreed that more interesting communications could be made between the two communities. Hence I post an AMA thread in tavern to gather your questions about our community, or the Korean RL culture in general.

Albeit racist jokes are quite fun, I would like to politely ask you not to make one in this thread - I wish this thread to be productive, not offensive to anyone.

It was asked above what your community thinks are the best character combinations for new players. Which combinations are seen by expert players as the most powerful? Are these also considered to be the combinations that are most fun to play?

Two developers (jpeg and dpeg) carried out two surveys with Crawl players. The results (and the questions) for the second one can be found here. All of these questions are also interesting to us for the Korean community

Perhaps some day someone will do this again (it is very interesting and a lot of fun, but also a lot of work). Then we should try to invite Korean explicitly. Some concrete questions:
(1) How many of the players in your community were around when that survey took place (DCSS 0.11)?
(2) How many of those even took part in the survey?
(3) How many active does your community have? (Rough estimate, don't count precisely.)

One last bit: can you ask if the creator of this amazing picture of Saint Roka is around? If so, would they allow to post it on Crawl Arts?

Thanks for waiting. Here are part one of gathered answers for your questions:

1. Criteria for gods?(Dynast)

Strength in early games(~3 runes), capability for extended games(~15 runes) or both.

Yred and Beogh have been popular choices among us because 3 bone dragons or 7~8 warlords can DESTROY anything before Zot.
Both TSO and Zin are great for 15 runes game.
Gozag, Pakellas and Ash are both strong in 3-runes and 15-runes games.

2. How large is Korean RL community?(Blade)

My estimations are ~100 in my community, ~500 crawl players in general, and ~1000 roguelike players in general.

3. General opinions on 3-rune game(Sprucery)

About half think it's OK, another half prefer 15-runes over 3-runes.

3-1. How long have you been playing?(Sprucery)

Numbers of players began with original Dungeon Crawl. Majority of our community started their crawl experience with Stone Soup version 0.11~0.13.

4. Best/worst decisions of developers? (chequers)

Best: removal of preservation ego and item destruction.
Worst: removal of evaporation spell, Elyvilon/Nemelex rework,

Nethack, Dwarf Fortress and Tome 4 are famous for my community. In Korean RL community in general, Fixel Dungeon, Elona, Tomenet and DoomRL are also in the list.
For roguelites, Darkest Dungeon/Sunless Sea/FTL/Binding of Isaac/Spelunky/Endless Dungeon are famous.

1. Pick MiBe/TrBe.
2. Play on webcrawl and get advices.
