A combination of Oka's/trove/found armour/amulets I've never seen before:
X - the +2 helmet of the Hanged Man (worn) {Str+1 Dam+4}
(Okawaru gifted it to you on level 13 of the Dungeon)
F - the amulet of Lies {rMut Str-3 Dam+4}
the +1 ring mail "Iha Kacw" {Str+1 Dam+3 Curse}
a - the +3 pair of gloves "Neupn" (worn) {Str+1 Acc-1 Dam+6}

Yes, it is +17 Damage without any rings. I don't even use some of them because I am mostly a longbow user (slaying bonus is halved) so I use MR++ body armour and amulet of Faith hoping to get a longbow of velocity from Oka instead of 6th longbow of flame. He was very nice though, granted early gloves of archery and cloak of preservation also.

Technically, the slaying bonus is rolled, then added to the total bolt damage, which is then subjected to an averaging effect, then rolled, which is a bit better than "halved", but is significantly worse than what it does for melee damage. Also, only the damage portion is subject to this extra roll, to-hit is just dropped on top of the bolt roll at full strength.

No, it makes slaying weaker. I preferred to wear MR+ in Vaults and Faith for example. If the slaying damage was doubled instead of halved for ranged weapons, I would not care about mark or velocity.

It's a pretty bad idea. If I needed more carry capacity I'd raise Str, not wear something like that.

Oh yes, this is rapidly becoming more of a personal challenge than a good idea. I got hit once by a hill giant and I'm surprised I didn't turn to mist. I wonder just how far I can get with literally no AC.

I remember a character I won offline, Kenku Air Elementalist (they were Kenku back then). Those were dark times when I played "pure casters", and naturally my character used a robe. I never found rCorr in that game, what I found instead was acid_trip Zot vault (lots of acid blobs, yellow draconians, oklobs etc.). My AC when I ascended was something like -3 or -4. Not exactly an experience I would recommend to anyone, though.

Well if I would have at least a decently enchanted MDA/SwDA/FDA, it would not get corroded, yes.
But I'm mentioning it also because I do have other memories of that dude. Reading teleport on D:27 because "what could go wrong" and landing in the old Tower of Silence where a ghost moth almost murdered my pure caster who tried to take on it with a skill 0 Spriggan's Knife (good thing I had invis wand!) comes to mind.

Edit: negative AC is functionally equivalent to 0 AC, same with EV.

Negative AC should totally do something. Roll 1d(-AC) and ADD that much damage to the attack.

Very nice for a berserker who relies on berserking because cannot use melee weapons except +5 brandless spear. Also it allowed to enchant and wear IDA which is better than FDA when a typical fight lasts 10+ turns.
