RACE PROPOSAL: SIMIAN

Monkeys. Yep!

Simians are a race of quickly evolving sapient primates that have made a civilization and culture for themselves over the last few thousand years. Shapeshifting and Kung-fu masters, they are exceptionally good at Unarmed Combat, Fighting and Transmutations, but nevertheless are acceptable (though fragile) fighters. They are bad at conjurations, hexes and charms, but good at Necromancy and all of the elements.

Special traits: Fur 1, growing to 2 at XL9 and 3 at XL18. Fast 1. (Deformed Body 1?)
Bestial expression: When encountering any source of mutation (including malmutation, purple and benemutation), Simians have a 50% chance to instead get Claws / Talons / Hooves / Fangs. They are unable to gain the Mutation Resistance mutation; instead, Evolution acts like Fast Evolution, and Fast Evolution is twice as fast.

How about a new transmutation spell? Greater Beastly Appendage or Become Monstrous.

All aux-attack capable slots get melded and all possible aux attack appendages gets morphed in at high levels of mutation. (poosibly spellpower dependent).

Eg on a human you meld boots,gloves,helmet for horns/hooves,claws,talons; then you also get fangs.

Variant: allowing to choose which slots to meld. This would have the benefit of making this transmutation spell actually attractive to non-UC users, allowing to keep important resistances etc.

For UC, at least, that would be beaten by a long shot by blade hands, so...
