Let players chose brand with brand scroll

As it is I seem to normally find 1-2 branding scroll in a 3 rune game, and I don't use them because I'm worried that I'll make my enchanted weapon worse. I almost only ever get use out of this scroll if I read ID it and I don't have a branded weapon yet.

Would it be so terrible if this scroll let the player chose the brand to apply to it's weapon?

Brands aren't equally good, so the choice would be a no-brainer. 3-rune games would pick vampiric, 15-rune would pick antimagic.

brand weapon scrolls can give you vampiric but not antimagic, and it's for good reason that the brands are unevenly weighed.

what if enchant weapon scrolls worked like brand weapon scrolls on +9 non-artefacts?

Everyone would use a vamp weapon. Except good god worshipers.

Everyone would use vamp or elec depending on weapon type since they're strictly better than the other options.
