Very-very small D5

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

Re: Very-very small D5

It's the new level generator aimed to address the common criticism of Crawl levels being too spacious and thus boring.

Why does it say that one of the downstairs has already been used?

He went down the stairs, back up, and walked to the upstairs without the ogre ever noticing?

He could have spent long enough on the previous floor for the ogre to lose track of him and be wandering again when he came back down.

Maybe the ogre is confused, or pining for the fjords.

Re: Very-very small D5

Does dazzling spray display a ? or does it have another icon now? Could be it. Although why he'd have gone across the room to the stairs without just killing the only two mobs in it first I'm not sure (other mobs may have been here before this picture, some of the item piles have more than one item, were probably monsters originally).

Did all of the floor drops for that level load in that one room? Looks like it...

Would love to see if Magic Mapping turns up any chambers on that floor!

Serious lack of answers in this thread! Can the OP explain why the stairs were used, and does anyone know if this is considered a bug/how it happened to generate?

Re: Very-very small D5

The consensus on ##crawl-dev was that it was a bug. I didn't see anyone nail down exactly how it happened though.

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out what went wrong.
